Why a Flower Bed Should Look Bare When You First Plant It

By Heather Rhoades It is probably one of the most common new gardener mistakes. It is even a mistake that, in their excitement to have a beautiful yard, seasoned gardeners make. That mistake is planting a new flower bed with too many plants that are too close together. A new flower bed should have lots of bare ground. In fact, there should be enough bare ground between the plants that you can walk easily between them. Unfortunately this creates a flower bed that looks nothing like the flower beds you see in gardening books and magazines. Gardening is twenty-five percent work, twenty-five percent love and fifty percent patience. We lovingly plant the garden with our own bare hands, often times with little or no mechanical help. When we finish with our new masterpiece of a flower bed, we want it to look like the masterpiece we envision. But Mother Nature has never been a speedy sort of spirit, and if you try to hurry her up, she will punish you. It is best to think of your flower bed like a child. When you plant it, you need to give your flower bed room to grow and develop. Just like children, if you try too hard to give it a personality too fast, your flower bed will rebel rather quickly. Instead of the masterpiece you thought you were planting, you will end up with an overwhelming jungle that will either be more work than it should be or the entire flower bed will need to be dug up and replanted. Fortunately, flower beds do not need 18 years to “grow-up”. It takes about three to five years to develop a good, healthy and, more importantly, nice looking flower bed. By the fifth year, you can expect that your flower bed will have filled in nicely without crowding each other. So how do you make sure your flower bed gets planted correctly? First, when planting your flower bed, make sure that the plants have been planted at least one and a half to two times the plant’s recommended spacing. Yes, the tags are helpful, but remember, the nursery that sold them to you is in the business of making money if you buy more plants. By putting only the barest minimum spacing required for a plant on the tag, they will be able to convince you to buy more plants. Extra spacing will allow the plants good breathing room without tripping over each other in only a year or two. Second, plan out your flower bed before you put the plants in the ground. Lay all your plants out on top of the ground before you even think about digging a single hole. Once you have the plants all laid out, step back and look at the bed. Does everything look right? Is everything spaced right? If not move your plants accordingly, then step back and look again. A few minutes of quiet contemplation at this stage will save your hours of back breaking work in a few years. Third and most important, use your imagination. Imagination is a gardener’s best tool. Imagine your plants as they will look five years from now. Imagine your plants will have spread to be 10 times bigger than they are now. Picture them at their full height. At these sizes, will they still have breathing room or would they be on top of each other? Space again if you imagine they will be too close. At this point, you are ready to dig the holes for your new plants. And the best indicator of whether or not a new flower bed is planted correctly is if you look at the bed and say “It just looks too empty.” If that’s how your flower bed looks, than your new flower bed is probably planted just right. So kick back and relax and just keep on relaxing. For just a few years’ worth of patience, you will have years and years of beauty to enjoy with very little work. Wedding Cakes: Choosing a Bakery

By Jeanette Shinn Once you have decided what type of wedding cake you want and have at least a general idea of the design you want, its time to begin visiting bakeries. When you do, be sure to taste their wedding cake samples. Dont let yourself be swayed by talk about the ingredients they use, taste their wedding cake samples and decide for yourself because, frankly, your guests arent going to know if your wedding cake was made from flour imported from a water powered mill on the south bank of a coastal stream in upper Scotland. All they are going to know is whether or not your wedding cake tastes good and looks good. So let taste (and artistry) be your gauge in choosing your bakery to provide your cake. Look at the pictures that the bakery has of past wedding cakes to decide if the bakery is even capable of doing what you have in mind. Toward this end, it is helpful to have a picture in hand to show the decorator what you want, that way they will know what part of their wedding cake portfolio to show you (though you might want to peruse the entire thing just in case you see a wedding cake that you like even better). Take the time to talk to the decorator and try to develop a rapport. You may not have much contact with them once you place your order but it is important that you are certain that they have understood and are going to create the wedding cake that you want rather than some fantasy from their mind (which might or might not reflect your tastes and values). To avoid surprises on your wedding day, ask your cake decorator how much time they need to set up the cake. In most cases they will need to set up one to two hours prior to the time the guests will begin arriving, but that all depends on the wedding cake you order and the other cakes your decorator has to deliver that same day. This will mean that your wedding cake location will need to already be established (in a highly visible but safe area wedding cakes dont like fireplaces, children, and high traffic areas if your table is the least bit wobbly). Likewise, ask about their policy for putting fresh flowers on the wedding cake, if your wedding cake design includes fresh flowers. Some cake decorators are very picky and will not allow the florist to place flowers on their cake (in fairness, in some cases this has come out of a bad experience where a bride wasnt happy with the cake after a florist placed flowers on the wedding cake). Of course, if the cake decorator is going to put the flowers on the cake, the flowers will need to be in the reception hall when the cake is delivered. This way you can ensure that the flowers on the wedding cake match the rest of the flowers in your wedding and actually do get placed on the cake. Also, ask about their policy regarding cake flavors. Some bakeries charge extra for a variety of flavors while others do not. Check also on delivery charges for your wedding cake as these too can vary greatly. If your wedding is close, delivery may be free, but if much travel is required expect to pay a delivery fee. Most bakeries will require, along with your initial deposit, a deposit for the cake plates and pillars. This deposit is usually returned as long as the plates and pillars are returned by an agreed upon time. Likewise, if you want the bakery to match a color in your color scheme (such as the color of the bridesmaids dress); bring a swatch of the colored fabric to the initial consultation with your cake decorator. Her idea of mauve and your idea are probably not exactly the same so unless you want to run the risk of having colors that clash, provide a swatch. Be warned, though, icing has to be colored by hand so trying to match a color will be time consuming, which will mean more expense to you. If you want that elegant wedding cake but money is an issue consider a simpler design. A simple cake with ribbon or roses can look beautiful. Likewise, consider ordering a smaller wedding cake with plain sheet cakes to make up the difference in servings. The sheet cakes can be held behind the scenes and used to supplement the wedding cake and will hold down your cost tremendously. Unsecured Personal Loans – Enjoy Flexibility Without Offering Collateral

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jake_Nathan]Jake Nathan A loan amount can only be balanced by collateral. That is why lenders ask for a collateral. But since the financial status of no two borrowers is the same, it becomes difficult for every one to offer collateral for a loan. It is for such borrowers that unsecured personal loans are tailor-made. Unsecured personal loans are not secured against collateral. This makes them no-risk loan products for the borrowers and high-risk products for the lenders. The lender does not have any right on the assets of the borrower and so he can neither seize nor sell off the property of the borrower. Absence of collateral makes the lenders set difficult terms and conditions for the unsecured personal loans. The interest rates are high and the repayment term is short (between 6 months to 10 years). The loan amount also is not big. However, due to the lucrative nature of the job, the few loan-seekers are refused an unsecured [http://www.loans11.co.uk/unsecured-personal-loan.html target=_blank]personal loan. Also, these loans are processed and disbursed very fast, due to the lack of collateral. Uses: flexibility of use is another advantage of the unsecured personal loans. Though you have to mention a particular purpose for which you are taking out the loan, you are free to use for any purpose whatsoever. You can use it for: Giving a face-lift to your house Purchasing a car Shopping expenditures Financing the university education of your child Paying off the past debts Meeting medical expenses Wedding expenses Unsecured personal loans are available to people with bad credit record as well. Those who have missed their payments, have made defaults in payments, have county court judgements or have ever faced bankruptcy in their life can apply for these loans. They should be prepared however to pay higher interest rates as these loans are even more risky than the simple unsecured personal loans. A comparison of the terms and conditions of the different lenders in UK is necessary before any application for the unsecured personal loans is made. This helps in zeroing in on the right deal. Also necessary is online application. It saves time. Wedding Photography – How To Choose The Right Wedding Photographer

By Hayden Barile How to choose a Wedding Photographer This Article will Detail 5 Tips you can easily follow to make choosing a wedding photographer a more enjoyable and productive process. These 5 tips can ensure you are better prepared to meet and choose the right wedding photographer and ensure you get what you are looking for. 1) Ask to see a single wedding portfolio . If you want to truly see what you may be getting when you hire a wedding photographer you want to make sure you ask them to show you an entire single wedding they have photographed. As a photographer its easy to piece together many various Best of ” shots and wow and dazzle visitors with great shots that come from unrelated weddings. But as a prospective client you want to see how this photographer has captures a single wedding in its entirety to give you a better idea of the results they and you can hope to get from your wedding day. After evaluating their portfolio ask yourself is this the style you looking for and does it look like they capture what you expect from your wedding day? 2) Have an idea of what you want in terms of time and number of photos. Wedding photographers offer packages based on number of prints and deliverables. Some by the time they are photographing in addition to the deliverables. Either way you want to clearly understand what you is will be getting in terms of time the photographer will be shooting, and what will they deliver in terms of prints to you. What size will the prints be? Will they make an album for you? Will they shoot Digital? How many prints will you get? Some photographers are still shooting film, however ask you photographer to show you both and the costs associated with going with one or another. Typically a wedding photographer to shoot film will have to spend more than $300-$500 for film and processing which is why Digital seems to be the preferred tool of the modern wedding photographer. 3) Ask the photographer how much Extra Prints and Wedding Album will cost ? Ask your photographer after the agreed package what it will cost for extra prints in the future? Will they hold on to the negatives or original files indefinitely or give them to you after a year or two. Most photographers will never give their negatives away , however some may have a time period which they hold on to them. How much will extra wedding albums cost for the inlaws ? These are questions you need to ask as the photographer will charge for these if they are part of or outside the package you decide on. Extra prints and albums are a lucrative area for wedding photographers. If you are looking to save money buy and build the Wedding Albums yourself 4) Ask about cancellations or backup photographers. In the event of unforeseen circumstances People do get sick and unforeseen events can happen. Wedding photography is no exception. Look at the contract and ask the photographer what happens for cancellation on their or your side. 5)Wedding Photogrpahers Are not Cheap. Photographing a wedding is not as simple as snapping a few buttons. Many very talented photographers won’t step near weddings because of the pressure. Don’t expect to negotiate a cheap price based on this preconception that it’s just pressing the shutter a few times. Good photographers will spend a day scouting location gathering supplies, checking equipment, a day at the wedding, and a few days gathering preparing results from a wedding to present back to clients. Making trips back and forth to the lab for reprints, preparing albums can take more time than one thinks. If they hire assistants this is costing the photographer and you as well. Treat a photographer and their craft with respect and you will be able to negotiate better, and find a package you are happy with. Keep these 5 things in mind and you will be on your way to finding the right photogrpaher faster. www.weddingphotosource.com Hayden Barile Copyright 2005 All Rights Reserved Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Hayden_Barile http://EzineArticles.com/?Wedding-Photography—How-To-Choose-The-Right-Wedding-Photographer&id=319853 personal loan hard money lenders hard money commercial loan application fast loan no credit sba loan interest rates

Stubborn Obesity is Immune! Naturopathic Research Says Lose the Weight and the Guilt: Gain Immunity

By Glen Rees Weight balance now becomes the side-effect of growing the cellular immune system of your body NOT an effect of Mind-set or Willpower to force weight-loss/balance… For indeed you may achieve tens of kilos in weight loss by becoming the equivalent of an Olympic athlete BUT when you’ve reached your goal weight but realise you want your life back seeing there is more to it than spending 2-4 hrs daily in the gymnasium- or at the track WHAT HAVE YOU CHANGED? Nothing-but-YOUR-MIND! Sooner or later your-underlying-physiology-will-revert-to-the-old-you unless you can reclaim your ideal cellular health especially if you dont know how to build your gut immunity & use immune positive foods to maintain it forever thereafter. “Have you ever wondered why Doctors tell us Obesity itself is powerfully related to the ‘big 4′ illnesses of Diabetes, Arthritis, Breast/Bowel cancer & Heart disease?” Well, puzzle-no-more. We’ll tell you!…Because much of stubborn weight issues are ALSO IMMUNE-RELATED-DISORDERS just as are these ‘Big-4′ illnesses in the first place… Yes, that’s right! Astounded? Confounded? Current Medical research states: Diabetes IS officially classified as an Auto-immune disease. Arthritis IS officially classified as an Auto-immune disease. Breast & Bowel cancer are both MAJOR immune related illnesses. Heart-Disease is officially NOT classified as an immune disease YET. However since 1999 both Scandinavian & more recently even USA studies are beginning to powerfully link the immune-system even here too. So much so that we believe by the year 2010 Medical science will begin to classify it in the same category as these first three illnesses above. But it seems the doctors who make those Obese-Diabetes-Arthritis-Cancer-Heart statements themselves JUST-CANNOT-SEEM-TO-JOIN-THE-DOTS. Puzzling, isnt it? …. In light of the above, My job as a Naturopath now is quite simple. Work out just what is it that is interfering with our immune systems! Hmmm, not so easy or even straight-forward. However the past 7 years have elucidated the 8 following areas mostly, as you will see are, directly attributable to the complex world we all live in being: Genetic patterns, What we do to ourselves with diet and drugs of addiction, What Doctors do to us with drug side effects, What Dentists do to us; Root canals, Amalgem metals, etc, Ill-effects of Radiation; Xray, Microwave foods, Nuclear, etc, NOT being breast-fed properly as an infant, Chronic spinal issues (Just ask your chiropractor), Foreign bodies such as Gall/Kidney stones, Surgical/cosmetic implants, etc. BY FAR, the most common areas as they relate to obesity is the first 5, esp. the first 3 listed above. AS to genetics? Our ‘Colostrum-milk extract(ALF)capsules’ will clear this at around 10% per week. As to Diet? We can tell you the immune positive foods and immune negative foods to employ and use ALF to revive damaged gut cells. As to prescription drugs? We can tell you which to try and reduce over time. Again, the ALF revives gut drug damaged cells. As to Dentists? Please seek out a biological dentist in your area to measure your metals in your mouth. As to Radiation? Reduce if you can- Microwaved foods, Xray exposure, excess Mobile phone radiation, Move out of radius of Nuclear power stations if possible, Deep-screen computers, Even your solarium could be dangerous too. The 7 Stages of a Romantic Relationship

By Michelle L. Casto There are seven stages in a romantic relationship: avoidance, meeting, dating, breaking up, establishing exclusivity, commitment, and keeping the love you find. Each of these stages vary in length and intensity. At each stage, there are thoughts and feelings telling you what to do and when to do it. You need to learn to listen to your intuition in each stage, so that you can make smart decisions. It is important to note that the breaking up stage can happen at any time within the other stages; i.e., at any time you or the other person decides to exit the relationship for whatever reason. In all seven stages, you always have these choices: 1. Continue moving forward 2. Stagnate 3. Slow down or go backwards 4. Exit By taking notice of the signals from your head and heart, you will be better able to interpret what your intuition is telling you. At each stage, consider, What am I thinking and feeling? Are you receiving conflicting messages? Is your head saying one thing and your heart another? This is often the case, particularly in romantic relationships. What happens is there is an agreement error, a contrast between your thoughts and your feelings. This is perfectly normal. Just remember that you have your very own internal system of checks and balances. This system was designed to keep you safe. For the moment, it is temporarily out of order, probably due to stimulation overload. So, before making any decision at this time, go somewhere quiet the answers will come with reflection and focus. Once the answer comes, you should act quickly so you do not have time to doubt your decision. You should never feel trapped or unable to choose what is right for you. If at any time you do feel this way, then that is a good sign that something is not right with the relationship. You then need to examine what it is that is holding you back. If it turns out to be the other person, you are probably better off leaving the relationship. A smart way to make important stage decisions is to mutually agree on what to do next. After all, if it is meant to be, it will be, so you may as well start out making important decisions together. Couples who have good relationships know that it takes time to build their love. They make a conscious effort to progress slowly and purposefully through each stage, enjoying the process, while allowing their love to develop naturally. Communicating with each other is essential to this process. You should be open and honest about your concerns and fears, so that you can trust that everything has been said and understood by both parties. Even if you find that things arent what you would have hoped for, at least you know what is going on and then you can work on making it better. Levels of Love Most of us have experienced love blindness. We either think we love someone or do not realize until it is too late that we actually did love someone. You do not have to be blinded by love. You have the power to recognize it, but you must use smart decision-making skills to avoid making fatal relationship mistakes. In this section, work on waking up your awareness so that you will act in knowing. The first step is to become familiar with the stages of relationships and the corresponding levels of love that you or your partner will most likely experience. Relationship Avoidance Stage I do not desire love Goal: to prepare yourself for love Characterized by non-interest Meeting Stage I am open to finding love Goal: to prospect for the possibility of love in others Characterized by anticipation Dating Stage I hope to find love Goal: to pre-qualify for a potential partner Characterized by uncertainty (These three stages represent being single and the importance of using the Screen-out process.) Breaking Up Stage I no longer have love with this person Goal: to let go of the person/love Characterized by disappointment/relief (Breaking up is a transitional stage.) Exclusivity Stage I think this is love Goal: to further qualify the person to see if she/he might be a good match Characterized by excitement Commitment Stage I know this is love Goal: to close the deal Characterized by confidence Keeping the Love You Find Stage I want to keep this love Goal: to preserve the love you have found Characterized by continuous commitment (These three stages represent being involved and the importance of using the Screen-in process.) The key is to consciously place yourself in each stage. For example, if you decide you want to be in the dating stage then be fully present and make a true effort to make yourself available for dating. If, however, you find that your heart isnt in it, and that you would rather avoid relationships, then you need to stop and consciously put yourself back in that stage. This will help you to stay clear on what you want and enable you to honestly communicate to others “where you are at. Each level and stage of the relationship is a transition and involves psychological and emotional energy. As you progress through each level, you will no doubt experience excitement and anxiety, hope and fear, arousal and dis-arousal, certainty and uncertainty, along with a myriad of other feelings. You will need to work hard at balancing the messages that you are receiving from both your head and your heart to most accurately interpret the incoming, overwhelming informationit is very easy! to be misled. ***This article is adapted from the book, Get Smart! Online Car Title Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jimmy_Sturo]Jimmy Sturo Many people dream of buying new items for personal their own personal use or for the household, but they cannot afford to do so because everything is so expensive. However, some banks and financial institutions offer loans to consumers called “online car title loans.” Borrowers are expected to repay the loan amount within a specified period with interest. Various banks offer different types of loans to customers. The “car title loan” is a loan that a bank will give to a customer. In return, the bank will keep the title of the borrower’s car as security. In case the borrower is unable to repay the loan, the bank can confiscate the car and recover the money that is owed to them. Title loans are mostly short-term loans with repayment duration of fifteen to thirty days. However, they can be renewed. The bank keeps the car’s title and a set of keys, although the customer physically keeps the car. The entire loan process is extremely fast and is usually approved within a day — provided all the necessary documents are supplied. The advent of the Internet has opened up new avenues for banks. Many banks have websites and allow customers to apply for car title loans online. It is very easy and convenient with one online form that needs to be filled out giving details regarding name, address and other relevant information. Then, a company representative will call the customer and set up an appointment for a personal interview. Some banks also offer concessions on the title loans availed online as a way to promote their websites. Terms and conditions differ from bank to bank, and customers might get a better deal if they shop around. Rose Color Selection – Red Is Hard to Beat

By Byron Pittser Rose Varieties and colors Red roses are and probably always will be the most popular color of roses. They are truly a classic. They garner a higher demand around Valentines. Comparatively, 3 to 1 over other colors such as yellow or pink. Especially around the rose holiday known as Valentine’s day. Some of the more noted varieties in red among florists are Charlottes, Freedom, Classy, Rose Bagier Black Magic with Rose Bagier usually being the biggest head and longest stemmed. Some of our favorite colors in yellows were Alsmeers Gold, Judy, and Skyline. Some of our favorite colors in pinks were Peekabou, Hot Princess, Anna Vogue, Raphaella. These range from regular pink, to hot pink tones to corals. Our favorites in white colors were Virginias, and Escimo. Our favorites in purple or lavendar are Blue Bird and Sterling. Then there are the bi-colors, or two tones such as Confetti, Anna, Lipstick, Millenium Intuition, Fire and Ice, and perfect for the fall season or anything masculine, Leonitus. Sometimes we would sell a blend of tones in roses. Start with red and then add a dark pink then lighter. This can be done with any colors. Just mind the shades of tones and make sure they blend well. Do not be afraid to try new colors and varieties. We found that some other people liked the nice varieties that we sold after they tried them and saw they were a quality rose also. Mainly, if the roses start fresh, and are processed correctly, you will have far better results and much happier relationships with consumers.
